Sir Ernest Shackleton
15 February marks the anniversary of the birth of Sir Ernest Shackleton, one of the most prominent figures of the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration. He was part of Captain Scott's Discovery Expedition, before leading his own in 1907.
